About Us

Two orthodontic professionals standing in a modern dental office with treatment chairs and BC Orthodontics logo

BC Orthodontics was built on a simple idea: the person who plans your treatment should be the person who finishes it. We're independently owned, which means no corporate schedule, no rotating providers, and no one rushing you toward a decision. You'll see the same orthodontist from your first consult to the day your braces come off — in English or Spanish, whichever feels like home. We're not here for a transaction. We're here for the next ten years of your family's smiles.

Meet the Doctors

Smiling female healthcare professional wearing a white coat and pearl earrings against a turquoise background

Dr. Chiara Contreras is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics — a voluntary credential only about one in three orthodontists pursue. It takes years of additional examination beyond residency, and she earned it in 2024.

She trained at [dental school] and completed her orthodontic residency at [program], then spent [X] years treating patients in [Richardson / the Dallas area] before deciding to build something of her own.

That decision brought her here. She and her husband Omar chose Prosper because it's where they're raising their family, and because they wanted a practice small enough that she could actually know the people in her chairs. [One human detail — how she spends weekends, what she's into outside the office.]

She treats children, teens, and adults in English and Spanish, and she'll be the one you see at every appointment — from the first consult to the day the braces come off.

Dr. Omar A Betancourt earned his [degree] from [school] and completed [residency / specialty training] at [program]. Before BC Orthodontics, he spent [X] years at [practice], where he treated [patient population].

He and Chiara built BC Orthodontics together — same philosophy, same standard, and a shared conviction that families here deserve care from people who actually live here. [One human detail.]

He treats patients in English and Spanish.
